  • Interior Decoration is the decoration of a space using colour, furnishings, furniture and lighting to full fill this. Good interior design uses these items to great affect to create the ambiance, style, feel you are looking for. With great skill it can be employed to concentrate your eyes on the features you like and distract you from those you dislike.

  • Off the shelf has limitations. Not only with dimensions.

Clients frequently require more features and finishes. Bespoke full fills these requirements.

It is true, that there is a significant cost for furniture and lighting made in the UK. However this can still be less, than specifying the same item from the original manufacturer.

  • Commercial Interiors differ from residential. We are not decorating your home. You are bolstering your message, your product, your service, to future clients. Choices on finishes are important to withstand the traffic your business generates and which enhance your brand.

  • Estimates are provided for all items. Where possible costs are put against all aspects of supply, manufacture, and installation. Where costs cannot be obtained ( usually before down takings have completed ) an hourly rate will be given. After down taking has happened we can present a more accurate picture.

  • Usually after a 50% Deposit is made, we order the goods. This percentage can change depending on suppliers payment requirements. Items within a 5 day turnaround would also be fully invoiced. Custom work with specialist galleries can require between 90% to 100% upfront. These items are rare and the client has usually full experience in this field already. Balance payment is made before goods are delivered and installed.

  • Initial Consultation

Usually a meeting onsite or at the property to discuss your hopes for the project. Great opportunity to see what is staying, needs editing, or changed. Here I can take sizes to allow me to go away and come back with prices or ideas.

From this meeting I can work out which costs would be involved with making the alterations proposed. A Fee proposal.

Out with Edinburgh Bypass I charge 45p per mile to cover for travel from Fettes. I do not charge any other rates for consultation visits.

  • After the initial meeting we can put together the most suitable package for you.

The fee allows for us to provide the best service, knowledge and professional services if required, to hand guide you to your goal.

  • 80% of the Construction industry in the UK is renovation of existing buildings. So renovations are are large part of what we do. We work on Auto Cad which easily integrates with the software Architects, Structural Engineers and other specialised services also work on.

This allows for furniture placement, the design and estimation of cabinetry and any finishes. This is extremely helpful in renovation and fornew build property.

  • Require

    • Photo of room(s) to discuss. Ideally also photos of each wall in each space or continuous photos to show services, skirting, windows, features etc. A video would also work.

From these images we would create a plan. Emailed by return, to request the important relevant sizes. These sizes are enough for estimating and on acceptance we would send round the correct installers to take accurate manufacturing dimensions to ensure installation runs smoothly. Where you feel is required.
